The aim of the avatar is to help citizens who are interested in participating in the Public Administration tenders managed by Formez Pa. Camilla will be active 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Brown bob, a white shirt and a veil of makeup. Camilla is the new meta-human concierge of the Italian Public Administration and from the end of November will respond to all questions relating to tenders for the competitions of the Public Function Department, open and managed in Formez.
Artificial intelligence could make it easier for citizens to search doubts about the tendersinstead of searching the site among the information pages, just ask the question to the virtual assistant. “This solution will allow interested people to obtain benefits answers or clarifications with respect to active competition notices, at any time of the day, 7 days a week, working alongside Formez assistance operators”, explained the director of Csi Piemonte, Pietro Pacini.

How the PA virtual assistant will work
The avatar was designed by CSI Piedmont and its objective is to help citizens who are interested in participating in the Public Administration tenders managed by Formez Pa. The assistant has been trained with the data and information from the tenders and FAQs already made available by Formez.
Response time will vary from 8 seconds to a maximum of 25based on the question. Camilla will be active 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, in case of a technical error or if she is unable to answer a specific question, the avatar will suggest to contact assistance of Formez.
The new assistant is not risk-free, the “hallucinations” of artificial intelligence are common, even the most advanced models around often produce wrong or misleading answers.
When Camilla will be active and what she will do
The Public Administration virtual assistant will be made available starting from second half of Novemberbut in an experimental phase. You will be able to provide information for competitions managed by Formez Pa based on information on available tenders and FAQs. It will improve as users ask questions.
The learning model is in fact based on “continuous improvement”, which will allow a progressive improvement of the virtual assistant.
Not only that, the goal is to make Camilla available to ask her too ex post information. If at the beginning it will only be able to answer questions relating to registration or the prerequisites required by the notices, over time it could also provide information for example on the positioning of a candidate who participated in the tender.
