Now there is a function dedicated to those who want to do a 2024 recap on Instagram without wasting too much time. You can complete everything in just a few steps. The only requirements are to have the app updated and at least ten good photos in the gallery.
The New Year’s recap is now a social media genre. It is usually one of the activities that can be done in the holiday lazinessperhaps nestled on some sofa to aid digestion. Nothing difficult. You put together a few photos, a few videos and season everything with a description. It is not mandatory to do so but if you want to have one without spending too much time on it Instagram has found a good solution.
The Meta social network has activated a series of functions to celebrate the end of 2024. You can already see the first one in reaction. These days if you look at your Stories you can see that the hearts left by contacts have changed color. They are no longer red but purple. Not only that. Instead of following a cascading flow, they seem to start towards the sky to explode like they were gods fireworks. But perhaps the most interesting function is that of collages.
How to make a collage with photos from the last year
If you access the Stories section of your profile you will be able to find more three options. You already know two. There is the section Models and the section Music. The third, however, is a new section, active for a few days. It is not clear how long it will remain available but intuitively it should not survive much beyond January 1st. Once inside you can choose up to 20 photos from your gallery. It will be Instagram that merges them together in a collage with a slightly CyberPunk tone and makes the words “The best of 2024” appear. If the writing doesn’t convince you, you can change it.

If you want to look for a different collage from the one automatically proposed by Instagram, you can go to the Templates section and browse through some recap proposals. There are some for points, for report cards, for objectives achieved or failed. Instagram offers several, always with a CyberPunk theme, in the “Goodbye 2024” section.
