One of more difficult components to design for a phone is the camera. Tiny parts, sophisticated technologies and costs that are difficult to reduce. And in fact, having dropped from the top of the range podium, it is not easy to find smartphones that are capable of keep the quality of the shots high. Realme tried: its 16 Pro+ mount on the back a photographic sector with one 200MP main cameraone 3.5x optical zoom and one wide angle. Everything in a mid-range phone: depending on the offers, the price of the Realme 16 Pro+ is around 440 euros.
We tested it in a context that is usually not easy for mid-range smartphones: in city in the evening. An environment with little brightness, lots of noise, where you can clearly see the difference between mid-range and top-of-the-range. A contrast that fades a little more when there is natural sunlight. We leave you our impressions here.
Realme 16 Pro+ | The technical characteristics
It is a light smartphone: the total weight is almost i 200 grams and the thickness is just right 8.49 millimeters. The display instead measures 6.8 inches. Excellent resistance: its components reach a level of protection IP69Kmeans that it is resistant not only to water but also to jets of hot steam. Of course, it is unlikely that you plan to put your smartphone on top of a kettle but at least you know that if it falls into water there are no problems.

Staying on the hardware, the most interesting component in these first features is the drums. In the Realme 16 Pro+ version it reaches 7,000 mAh. Enough to call this smartphone a battery phone: It holds up well to two days of use, even when we use it intensively with apps to watch videos, calls and photos taken from the camera.
Two possible colors: Master Gold or Master Grey. Realme explained that there are reasons behind the two colors two different conceptssigned by Naoto Fukasawa. Master Gold is inspired by fields of ripe wheat, while Master Gray is designed to replicate river-smoothed pebbles. The materials are also interesting. Let’s find a layer of bio-based organic silicone derived from straw which offers a little more grip when we hold it in our hand.
Realme 16 Pro+ | The proof of the photographic sector
The photographic compartment of Realme 16 Pro+ is housed in a square frame on the back of the smartphone. There are three cameras. There is a wide angle from 50 MP capable of arriving at an extension of 115.5°. And then there’s a master bedroom 200 MP and a telephoto lens with zoom 3.5x optical.
