RedMagic Astra 2 is official and will arrive in Italy: a compact tablet with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

The new RedMagic Astra 2 it’s a compact tablet with excellent performance and the ambitious goal of becoming a point of reference for the gaming on the move. The model has just been presented for the global market and is ready for its debut also in Italy. Let’s summarize specifications and prices.

A compact, high-powered tablet

Among the specifications of the new RedMagic Astra 2 we find a 9.06 inch OLED displaywith a resolution of 2,400 x 1,504 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 185 Hz. The operation of the device is managed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC which is supported by 12/256 GB or 16/512 GB, as regards RAM and storage.

The system manages the temperatures AquaCore Cooling System 2.0 with sealed liquid circuit, piezoelectric micropumps, Liquid Metal 3.0 and vapor chamber.

The battery has a capacity of 8,300 mAh, with 75W fast charging support and bi-directional reverse charging capability.

Among the specifications we find a 13 MP rear camera, a 9 MP front camera, fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 6.0 support and Wi-Fi. The operating system is Android 16 with RedMagicOS 11.5. The tablet has a metal body, an RGB lighting system on the back and is IP54 certified.

Price and availability

The new RedMagic Astra 2 will arrive also in Italyduring the month of August (the launch date should be August 26) with two colors, Black Eclipse and Silver Starfrost. The version 12/256 GB it will cost 699 euros while the 16/512 GB will have a price of 799 euros.
