According to other reports, a message appeared on blocked accounts: “Account under review”. Specifically, the message continues: “Request date: August 3, 2026. Your account activity and device information are being reviewed to ensure they comply with our Terms of Service. We will notify you of the outcome, typically within 24 hours.” The problem, from what Fanpage.it has reconstructed, could not be solved with any of the classical methods. Several users have tried to get around it by updating the app. Some have even uninstalled and then downloaded WhatsApp again. Nothing. The notice and problems with dispatching media remained throughout the evening.
In the last few hours Meta, the company that, in addition to WhatsApp, also manages Facebook and Instagram, admitted the problems reported by users: “Sometimes we make mistakes, and if we do, we try to fix them as quickly as possible to allow users to chat again.
