Apple has completed a new acquisition that looks directly at the development of future hardware devices. The platform integrates physical simulations, chemical simulations, machine learning, data mining and tools for characterization of materialswith the aim of optimizing industrial processes.
Among the technologies developed by the company is: MatSighta software introduced in 2023 that allows you to simulate the behavior of plasma processes during the production of hardware components. The system allows you to verify, for example, the uniform distribution of extremely thin coatings on three-dimensional surfaces characterized by curvatures, buttons and complex geometries.
This type of simulation offers manufacturers the possibility of analyzing the result of the processes before the physical creation of the components, with more accurate control of the final characteristics of the materials and surfaces.
Apple did not provide details on the plans related to the acquisition, but PlasmaSolve’s skills are compatible with the design of new materials, new shapes And advanced production processes intended for future company products.
