Exynos 2700 outperforms Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro in Samsung’s internal tests

The future Exynos 2700 could represent an important step forward for processors developed internally by Samsung. According to a report from South Korea and based on industry sources, the new chipset would be directly compared with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Gen 6 Pro during some internal evaluations conducted by Samsung itself.

The reported results are particularly interesting. In multicore tests performed with Geekbench 6.5, the Exynos 2700 would have obtained a score 19% higher than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The advantage would instead be equal to 9.5% compared to the Gen 6 Pro version.

The alleged tests would also have highlighted differences in the gaming sector. Under maximum performance conditions, the Samsung chip would have recorded a 5% advantage compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. When the test was carried out favoring the containment of consumption, the margin would have even risen to 24%.

Further elements emerged from the comparison between Exynos 2700 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro

Energy efficiency itself would represent one of the most interesting aspects. According to available information, Exynos 2700 would consume approximately 12.7% less than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. If these data were confirmed by independent tests, Samsung would therefore have made significant progress in energy management as well. The new processor would also have shown positive results in tasks related to artificial intelligence.

The alleged internal evaluation gives the Exynos 2700 a 18% faster response generation and a 5% advantage in request recognition and processing of users compared to the Qualcomm solution. The numbers, however, must be viewed with caution. In fact, these are tests carried out internally by Samsung and not yet verified using devices available on the market.

Furthermore, favorable results had also been attributed to previous Exynos generations, without this necessarily translating into superiority over Snapdragon processors in daily use. The Exynos 2700 is expected to power at least part of the future Galaxy S27 seriesdepending on the markets. If the performance indicated by the report is confirmed in independent tests, the new chip could mark a major turning point for Samsung.
