Samsung expands the new Galaxy S26 family with Galaxy S26 FEa smartphone that brings some of the most interesting features of the premium range to the Fan Edition series. The device focuses above all on photography, artificial intelligence, autonomy and software support, maintaining a relatively thin and light design. The new model is also the first of the Galaxy S26 family to debut with One UI 9based on Android 17.
From a photographic point of view, Galaxy S26 FE integrates a triple rear camera composed of a 50 MP main sensor with optical stabilization, a 12 MP ultra-wide angle and an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoomOIS and digital zoom up to 30x. Samsung has also worked on image processing and video functions.
Among the new features it stands out MyFanCamalready introduced on the company’s most recent foldable devices. The function allows you to automatically follow a subject during recording, keeping it in the center of the frame and adapting the video to its movements. For moving shots there is also the Stabilizer with Horizontal Lock.
The front camera also switches to a sensor from 12 MPwith a wider field of view than the previous generation. There is also Nightography, while Photo Assistant allows you to intervene on images through natural language commands, also to modify elements of the scene or reconstruct missing parts.
On the AI front, Galaxy S26 FE introduces Galaxy AI features built into it One UI 9. The new version of Now brief offers configurable information sheets and allows you to create new ones through a prompt. Now nudge, on the other hand, extends contextual suggestions to some third-party applications and notifications. There is also a more advanced version of Circle and Search, capable of simultaneously identifying multiple elements within an image.
The display is a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X FHD+with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and declared brightness of up to 1,900 nits. There is room under the body Exynos 2500made with a 3 nm production process, supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage space.
The battery has a capacity of 4,900 mAh and supports wired charging at up to 45W, with Samsung claiming reaching 69% in around 30 minutes using a compatible charger. There is also 15W wireless charging and wireless battery sharing.
The dimensions are equal to 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4mmwhile the weight stops at 193 grams. Connectivity includes 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, while the IP68 certification protects the device from water and dust in the conditions required by the standard.
Particularly interesting is the software support: Galaxy S26 FE will receive up to seven generations of operating system updates and seven years of security updates. Samsung therefore aims to significantly extend the life cycle of the device.
