The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8thanks to the new form factor, is recording a very strong question by the market, probably well above the Korean company’s expectations.

To resolve the availability problems of the foldable, recorded in different markets, Samsung is evaluating different options, with the aim of increase production compared to initial estimates.

Recall that the folding got very positive results during the pre-order phase and continues to record excellent data, a sign of strong interest from the market.

A new strategy for Samsung

The company made an unusual decision and will use part of the integrated circuit production for the display driver, component made by the Taiwanese production partner UMC, expected for smartphones in 2027 to make more Galaxy Z Fold 8.

Samsung would have asked its partner to change production plans, concentrating efforts on components intended for the new Fold. UMC, meanwhile, would have already saturated its production capacity.

As a result, to produce more components intended for the Z Fold 8 will have to reduce production for other Samsung modelsmodifying the supplies planned for 2027.

These details make us understand how for Samsung, at this moment, the Z Fold 8 is an absolute priorityalso in consideration of the arrival of the iPhone Ultra and the possible growth in requests for high-end foldables.

We will see if this move will reduce the availability problems of the Korean company’s leaflet or if the high demand will continue to reduce available stocks.
