A teaser with a straw hat to announce the launch of new sets of LEGO bricks theme one Piece in collaboration with Netflix. The new set proposals will in fact be based on the live-action TV series of the streaming giant inspired by the work of Eichiro Oda.
Surprise announcement by LEGO. The well -known Danish house will soon welcome some Set of One Piece themed bricks. The base, however, will not be the manga of Eichiro Oda, nor the soul series inspired by it, but but The Netflix live-action TV series debut in 2023 “Join us as we navigate in the seas of creativity and adventure, capturing the spirit of the straw hat crew in every construction”. The rest of the details is still unknown.
The only available material is a 10 second teaser in which the classic straw hat worn by Monkey D. Luffy appears, the protagonist of One Piece played by Iñaki Godoy in the TV series. “Building the world of One Piece, as represented in Netflix’s live-action adaptation, in the form of LEGO bricks was an exciting challenge,” he says in a press release Lena Dixen, Vice -president senior for the Core Business of the Lego group. “I couldn’t be happier that fans can live the new adventures that this collaboration with One Piece will bring them for the first time.”
LEGO’s strategy for One Piece sets
From what emerges from these statements, LEGO’s intent is to turn directly to fans of the Netflix TV series, offering in the near future several sets inspired by the most iconic scenes taken from the first season of One Piece. It is however an important collaboration, which represents A further record for the work of Eichiro Odaready to turn into LEGO minifigure, and extend its Pirate imagination. As for the series, the first season was positively accepted by public and criticism, so as to confirm thearrival of a second. However, a specific date is still missing, it is only known that it will be launched this year. Who knows if in conjunction with the new details related to LEGO X ONE PIECE sets.
