The campaign unfolds in 11 missionswhich can be played both solo and, for the first time, cooperatively with up to four players in total. An unprecedented possibility, which changes the enjoyment of history. But the revolution doesn’t end here: once the main plot is concluded, a twelfth mission is unlocked, Endgame. Designed for up to 32 players divided into teams of up to four membersthis mission offers endless replayability thanks to increasing difficulty zones, random objectives and survival challenges. Everything is set in Avalon, an open world map with Mediterranean references. The result is a hybrid campaign mode to be replayed over and over again.

Multiplayer, Zombies and technical renewal
Moving on to the actual multiplayer modes, here too there are some new features worth mentioning. In terms of settings and dynamics, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 resumes the legacy of Black Ops 2therefore futuristic aesthetics and fast but at the same time tactical game rhythms. Even weapons, maps and mechanics known in the 2012 chapter return in a modern version, thanks to Omnimovement, more reactive controls and a more structured customization system. Finally, it is worth mentioning Zombies, the mode inaugurated for the first time in Call of Duty: World at War in 2010. In Black Ops 7 it returns under the name of Zombie Unchained and the largest map Treyarch has ever created for this mode. Now for some context: trapped in the Dark Aether, the new team of protagonists finds themselves facing alternate versions of the saga’s classic heroes in a chapter that bends time and reality. The mode includes large explorable regions, traditional survival maps, challenges for veterans but also for beginners, offering a flexible and replayable structure.
The main new feature is the Cursed modea brutal variant of Zombies in which relics activate difficulty modifiers designed for more experienced players, with a classic points system, limited weapons and no mini-map. Then there is the return of the famous one Dead Ops Arcade 4the top-down twin-stick shooter that serves as an homage to the series’ arcade origins. This new version introduces 80 levels, 20 arenas, an arsenal of iconic weapons such as the Wunderwaffe DG-2 and the Jet Gun, and the possibility of tackling the campaign cooperatively with up to four players.
After launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will continue to be supported by development studios as usual for new seasonal updates and thus encourage playability. Meanwhile, there is a lot of meat on the fire, and it promises to redefine the concept of war according to Call of Duty.
