How the launch trade-in for the new Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL works

The trade-in mechanism for the new Pixel 11 Pro family especially rewards those who go to the Google Store: on direct purchases the bonus included in the refund is 400 euroswhile on other sales channels it drops to 300 euros. It is the main distinguishing element of this campaign compared to the trade-in promotions seen so far on the Pixel range.

THE’amount of 980 euros is a representative example, calculated on the trade-in of a 256 GB iPhone 16 Pro Max: the final value of each used device is still subject to verification upon receipt. If the technical inspection by PCS, Google’s trade-in partner, finds actual conditions between 75% and 99% of the initial estimate, a counter-offer will arrive via email to be accepted within seven working days. Below 75% of the estimated value, the old smartphone is instead returned to the sender.

Before sending, expected within 30 days of receiving the new Pixel, it is necessary to perform a factory data reset: without this step the exchange is not processed. The credit is provided as an immediate discount at checkout, as a refund on the original payment method or, when this is not possible, as a Google Store credit; those who purchased in installments through Klarna instead receive a refund according to the terms of their financing contract. If the value of the trade-in exceeds the price of the new device, the difference is still credited as Store credit. Find all full terms and conditions on the Google Store.

Which used smartphones are evaluated for trade-in

Google groups eligible devices by brand, and for the purchase of Pixel 11 Pro or Pro XL the bonus included in the refund is the same for all models indicated in the same range: 400 euros on the Google Store, 300 euros on other retailers. The basic value of the trade-in, the one that is added to the bonus to arrive at the final reimbursement, changes from model to model based on the conditions and generation of the device.

Category Some models suitable for trade-in Bonus included
Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 9 €400 / €300
Apple iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 €400 / €300
Samsung and other Androids Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22, OnePlus 10T €400 / €300

To get an idea of the possible final reimbursement, the official example of the campaign remains the 256 GB iPhone 16 Pro Max, which leads to the maximum ceiling of 980 euros including the 400 euro bonus on direct purchase.
