Google has started the official distribution of Gmail Live, Docs Live and Keep Live for mobile devices. After the first demonstrations at the Google I/O event last May, Gemini’s AI-based conversational capabilities become accessible to subscribed users. The system introduces a direct voice management for consulting e-mail, drafting documents and creating notes, eliminating the need to type on your smartphone keyboard.
The Gmail integration aims to avoid having to manually search for messages in the most crowded inboxes. By selecting the new Live icon located in the application’s search bar, you start a real-time voice conversation to extract precise information. The assistant analyzes archived emails and summarizes a verbal response (for example, to check the date of a school event or updates on an order), allowing you to ask in-depth questions without having to repeat the initial context. During the dialogue you can interrupt the assistant to change the topic without restarting the session. The full-screen interface shows the transcript of the text and provides hyperlinks to the source messages examined to facilitate data verification.
Clipboard management and subscription options
Docs Live turns content creation into a voice-driven process. Through the “Create with voice” option, located in the main action button of the Google Docs app, the user can describe the structure of the document to be created, such as a business proposal or a summary of a long text. The assistant shows a summary of the information identified before proceeding to generate the final text. Subject to authorization, the system integrates data from Gmail, Google Drive, Chat and the web to personalize the result.
Keep Live applies natural language processing to the organization of extemporaneous thoughts. The system listens to voice recordings and processes the continuous stream of words to generate lists and structured notes with an integrated on-screen preview. By verbally specifying the need to purchase the ingredients for a recipe, the application recognizes the intent and automatically compiles the corresponding list. The function allows you to create multiple notes in the same session, check off completed items via voice commands and update lists already present in memory, for example adding individual products to an existing expense.
The distribution concerns i mobile devices set in English on a global scale. As for availability in commercial packages, Gmail Live and Keep Live are accessible with Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra options, while Docs Live requires subscription to AI Pro or Ultra levels. On the platform front, Gmail and Docs support both Android and iOS, while Keep Live remains exclusive to the Android operating system. Google has confirmed that the integration for enterprise customers of the Workspace circuit will be completed later.
