Pokémon Wind and Pokémon Wave are real. We are referring to the new chapters for Nintendo Switch 2 dedicated to pocket monster. To the tenth generation to be precise. An inevitable announcement: today we are celebrating 30 years of the franchiseborn in 1996 with Pokémon Red and Green – whose remakes are now available digitally on the new Nintendo console. An event too tempting not to give the immense audience of pocket monsters a new journey to experience in the shoes of a new coach.
What we know so far about Pokémon Wind and Wave
In the trailer shown, which lasted about 3 and a half minutes, we get to know the different ecosystems of the new reason that will be the setting for Vento e Onda. Places invaded by lava, lush forests, clear waterways. The environmental variety seems really rich, as demonstrated by the different Pokémon that inhabit it. The most important information comes at the end. We know the three staters, that is, the new “Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle”. In detail they are, Browta grass-type owl with a frowning face, Pombona ball of fire mouse fur, and finally Gecque. From the name you can already understand that we are talking about a water-type gecko.
In the company of one of them we will begin an adventure in search of new pokémon to capture but also new stories. Obviously there will also be the most iconic creatures, starting with the inevitable Pikachu. In the trailer, two appear dressed as vacationers. There will probably be the possibility to aesthetically customize your team. At the moment this is a conjecture.
Pokémon returns to the basics, FireRed and LeafGreen on Nintendo Switch: they now have a new form

However, there is another detail, decidedly more concrete, which emerged during the final part of the trailer: the underwater world. For the first time in thirty years of history, it will be possible to explore the seabed, and therefore capture types of Pokémon in an even more interactive way. Graphically we are not witnessing the miracle hoped for by the fan base disappointed by the technical limitations of the recent Pokémon ZA, however the power of Switch 2 allows for a brighter and more refined visual quality, especially when it comes to bodies of water.
Now that the existence of Pokémon Vento a Onda and a tenth generation has been made official, what remains is to wait. Not only for more detailed information, but also for exit. In fact, the two chapters will arrive exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. The launch will be global.
