The case of the Mia Moglie Facebook group, the Phica case and the platform denounced by Francesca Barra. In recent months, testimonies of women who find their images published on pornographic sites have continued to emerge. Sometimes they are cases stolen imagestaken by companions or family members. Sometimes they are normal images published on social media. Sometimes they are shots that were created with artificial intelligence, here they are technically called deepnude.
The latest testimony comes from Cristina D’Avenainterview by Corriere della Sera on the images found in these forums. In his case we are talking about both images created with AI and old photomontages: “I was truly speechless. They are not real photos and therefore that is not me, but they stole shots taken in beautiful, important moments and dirtied them in this way.”
D’Avena, born in 1964, became famous thanks to the theme songs of the cartoons. A very different image from that which hovers around these platforms: “The fact that throughout my life I have worked hard not to cause scandals, I have always tried to have an ultra-clean image. Even the paparazzi climbed trees hoping I would untie my swimsuit at the seaside and I have always been careful. And now I see my face on images like this”.

The old porn site with photo montages of celebrities
Meanwhile, the Rome Prosecutor’s Office has opened a new file. According to what press sources reveal, at the center there is what in the last few hours has been defined as “a new sexist site”. The case seems very similar to the platform reported in recent days by Francesca Barra. Fake nudes of Italian celebrities that are created, published and collected by users. Yet there is something different here. Maybe even much older.
The site in question is one very old knowledge of the internet. From an analysis of the domain it appears open fromApril 2007. We cannot know if it has always remained in business for the last 18 years. As in the case of Francesca Barra, the site seems to have an international user base. Among the top 200 positions of most searched women on the site there is not even an Italian. The user who registered the domain indicated an address near Boston, United States.
But above all the uploaded material is very old. Looking at the chronology of the images published where Italian women are depicted, we see that they are there photo also from 15 years ago. They don’t seem to be made with artificial intelligence, on the contrary. Most of the shots look like they were created with very cheap photomontages. Faces cut out and stuck on the bodies of women taken from sets of pornographic films.
Of course, there are those who have continued to publish these days despite all the scandals. In October we counted 25 new contents concerning Italian women. Obviously this is only an indicative criterion: It is not possible, at the moment, to trace the identity of the users. However, the targets are always the same. Actresses, politicians, models. It doesn’t matter what profession, the problem is the same: the victims of these images are all women.
