It Wallet, al via da oggi patente digitale e tessera sanitaria in app IO: come caricare i documenti

After the opening of IT-Wallet, thousands of citizens tried to upload their documents to the app: perhaps too many compared to the capabilities of the servers. Some users are seeing an error message.

From today, Wednesday 4 December, it is possible upload documents in the section IT-Wallet of the Io appthe tool the government is focusing on to accelerate the digitalization process of bureaucratic system. After a few weeks of experimentation, IT-Wallet is now available to everyone. Or rather, it is available for those who are managing to log in since in the first hours of release Thousands of requests have already arrived.

Now on IT-Wallet it is possible to upload the driving license, the Health Card and the European Disability Card. Convenient option: if you trust that your smartphone will hold up when everything is optimized, you could leave your driving license in the drawer and only use the one uploaded to IT-Wallet. It’s a shame, however, that many are already experiencing some problems.

The error message that appears on IT-Wallet: “Try again later”

By opening the IT-Wallet app in some cases an error message appears: “There are many requests on the systems of the technical supplier that returns the Health Card data. Please try again later.” It’s not hard to imagine the source of the problem. As also confirmed by PagoPa the number of requests to access the digital wallet is quite high: it seems to have exceeded 200,000. The total number of users, however, is much higher, given that IT-Wallet had already opened up to experiments with different samples of users. The first experiments were carried out at the end of October.

IT Wallet, from today digital driving license and health card on the app for everyone: how to upload documents

What to do if you are unable to upload documents to IT-Wallet

Let’s clarify one point. IT-Wallet is not mandatory. If you don’t want to download it, at least for now, you can continue to use your documents in physical format. Loading them onto the app is therefore not urgent: if you can’t get in, you can always wait a few hours and then try again today.
