Mova Z70 Ultra Roller Complete: powerful motor, washing roller and AI to drive

Written by Jason Miller

At the end of 2025 we reviewed the Mova Z60 Ultra Roler Complete, what at that time was Mova’s top-of-the-range model for cleaning floors at home. Featuring a roller cleaning system, a double lower brush and an extendable external arm, Z60 Ultra Roller Complete is a robot vacuum cleaner that stands out for its precise and complete operation. The combination with artificial intelligence logic improves its behavior in different home environments, in the presence of obstacles or particular furnishing accessories.

The evolution of that model is Mova Z70 Ultra Roller Completea robot vacuum cleaner that maintains the same basic functionality while implementing new features. We therefore always find a roller for washing floors, an extendable side brush and a double lower brush capable of best removing dust and dirt from the floor.

The first difference that stands out in Z70 Ultra Roller Complete is the design of the charging basewhich goes from the previous rounded shapes to a decidedly more squared design. It integrates the two tanks for light and dark water, the bag for collecting dust, the integrated washing system of the roller and two small additional tanks which contain the cleaning solution and a second specific solution to perfume the rooms of the house in the presence of pets.

Lots of technology for cleaning the house

In Mova Z70 Ultra Complete we find the navigation system referred to as FlexScopewhich integrates a DToF sensor in the upper part together with a pair of RGB front cameras with double structured light that guide navigation between the home environments avoiding any obstacles on the floor. The DToF sensor it can be retracted inside the chassis, so as to eliminate its vertical dimensions: in this way the Z70 Ultra can pass under furniture that has a ground clearance of at least 96mm.

There dual front camera it combines with artificial intelligence logic capable of identifying over 300 different types of obstacles. Its intervention allows Mova Z60 Ultra to move on the surface of the house fluidly, avoiding coming into contact with obstacles and reporting their presence within the APP in the cleaning activity reporting screen.

If you need to navigate and clean environments in the dark, Mova Z70 Ultra Complete uses a front LED to illuminate the floor and thus be able to better treat the surfaces by recognizing any obstacles that may be present. If any obstacle present in the house is not automatically identified by the AI logic, from the APP it is possible to define it manually so that it is recognized in subsequent cleaning actions.

The suction motor has a maximum power that reaches the declared value of 36,000 Paan increase compared to the 28,000 Pa of the predecessor. The power can obviously be configured manually from the APP but it is possible to leave the automated management to the robot, which varies it autonomously depending on the surface to be treated and the type of intervention required.

It has been maintained with a double lower brush, indicated with the name TroboWavedesigned with a design that avoids the tangling of fur and hair collected from the floor. Combine a rubber brush with one with rubber bristles, designed to treat hard floors and soft carpets respectively. There MaxiReach side brush it extends laterally, so as to capture the dust present on the edges of the walls and in the corners, automatically adapting to the shape of the edges of the walls and furniture in the house.

The washing system, indicated by the name of HydroForce Mopping 2.0is an evolution of the one adopted in the Z60 Ultra Roller Complete model. The roller is constantly wet from the liquid collected in the small tank integrated into the robot through 12 nozzles, also ensuring that the roller is cleaned with each rotation, removing any layer of dirty water that may have deposited on its surface.

A rigid plate slides along the roller, helping to keep the bristles soft and oriented: in this way a more capillary action is sought in cleaning stains on the floor. The operation is very effective: the width of the brush, combined with the contact surface which is very small, allows it to act with a pressure on the floor of 5,000 Pa (compared to the 4,100 Pa declared for the V60 Ultra model) and in this way remove not only liquid and superficial dirt but also the most stubborn dirt present on the floor.

The roller has a width of 270mm and can extend laterally by a maximum of 52mmso as to slide flush with the walls and furniture of our home, proceeding with an even more precise and thorough cleaning.

A cleaning system structure based on a roller and not on opposing mops can present a limitation when cleaning carpets. The roller, dampened by washing operations, could in fact dirty the carpets. To overcome this limit Mova has implemented two distinct features: the LiftPro frame lifts so as to prevent the robot from coming into contact with long-pile carpets during dust extraction operations. Simultaneously the washing roller is covered with a plastic cover, AutoShieldalways to avoid it coming into contact with the carpet hair and getting them wet in some way.

Mova Z70 Ultra is also able to overcome single or double threshold steps thanks to the Stepmaster 2.0 system: in the first case the maximum height can be up to 4.8cm, which becomes 9cm total in the presence of two steps in sequence.

The charging base

Mova Z70 Ultra Roller Complete stands out from the model that preceded it due to the design of the charging base: from the rounded lines we have moved on to a clearly more squared shape which in some ways is also more elegant (although, as always in these cases, tastes are personal).

In the upper part there are the two classic tanks for light and dark water, hidden by an upper lid. The fresh water tank has a capacity of 5.5 liters, while the dust collection bag has 4 litres. Covered by a front panel we find the compartment for the dust collection bag as well as an additional container, which contains two small tanks: the first is for the detergent while the second is dedicated to the deodorant liquid which can be used whenever pets are present in the home.

The washing roller is automatically washed with water brought to a temperature of 100 degreesso that it is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. It is also possible to alternatively select the room temperature, 45 degrees and 60 degrees based on different cleaning needs. The roller is finally dried with hot air brought to 70 degrees of temperature at the end of the floor washing operation, so as to restore full functioning while avoiding the formation of unpleasant odors. The wash tray is sterilized with UV rays so as to remove any bacteria that may have settled on its interior. These are the same features implemented in the Z60 Ultra Roller Complete model but which in the V70 Ultra have been combined with higher specifications in terms of maximum temperatures.

APP Mova, the control center

There Mova APP it is the control center for all the functions of Z70 Ultra Roller Complete, thanks to which you can not only start and program cleaning operations but also be able to manage all the advanced configuration options of the robot and base.

The methods of use are divided into two broad categories. Through the CleanGenius function you can leave it to the robot’s artificial intelligence logic to establish which settings to select for vacuuming and washing floors. As an alternative, the user can manually configure what he prefers, selecting specific settings for the entire environment or individually room by room by setting suction only, suction and washing at the same time or suction followed by washing.

As regards dust extraction, you can select the power level and the washing pattern, favoring precision or intervention time. For the washing mode, not only can a different passage pattern be configured on the floor, but the humidity level of the roller can be selected as well as the washing frequency (per room, per surface or per time). These parameters can be configured in a fixed way for all rooms in the house, or selected specifically based on the room in question: for example, a more incisive wash can be provided in the bathroom and kitchen, using a less stringent setting for other rooms.

The charging base can be customized with regards to the frequency of dust collection in the bag, the water temperature, the roller drying settings and the management of the two tanks for detergent and refreshing liquid to be used if there are pets in the house.

From the advanced settings panel you can then customize other functions, such as the use of the extendable arms, the selection of cleaning by following the direction of the tiles on the floor, the specific cleaning mode for home carpets, the cleaning mode in the presence of pets, the leg intervention mode for climbing steps in the house and the management of the camera in real time.

For the Z70 Ultra Roller Complete too, Mova has therefore pushed itself to a very high level of overall customisation, replicating what has already been provided in the Z60 Ultra Roller Complete model and in fact equaling what is offered by competitors with their top-of-the-range robot vacuum cleaners.

Effective cleaning

Mova Z70 Ultra Roller Complete confirms, once put to work, the more than valid technical characteristics that we had found in the Z60 Ultra model tested previously.

The cleaning action proceeds very quickly and precisely: home mapping, the first operation to be carried out once the product has been installed in the home, proceeds quickly and ends after a few minutes. From that moment it will be possible to leave it to the artificial intelligence logic how to intervene in the different environments, or manually select our favorite settings based on the individual room.

The robot operates with a very precise suction and washing actionmaking the most of the extension functions of the front brush and roller to also act near corners and walls. Cleaning carpets is equally effective: the roller covering system with a plastic shell and the automated lifting of the frame prevent the robot from somehow dirtying longer pile carpets.

These two elements make the roller washing system decidedly complete and effective compared to robots equipped with rotating snots. By doing so, you prevent the presence of carpets from somehow limiting the home cleaning operation, leaving them poorly treated if not even dampened themselves.

The functioning of the charging base is equally valid: best manages the roller washing frequencies during house cleaning operations, providing final washing, dust extraction and drying of the roller. For those who own pets, the double detergent system ensures more thorough cleaning of the floors, which are treated specifically to remove dirt and odor from animals.

Mova Z70 Ultra Roller Complete is offered at a list price of 1,399 Euros including VATan important figure which is aligned with what is required for robots with mirrored technical characteristics based on roller floor washing systems. It shouldn’t be difficult to find this robot at a lower price, thanks to specific promotional initiatives implemented by the company’s various commercial partners.
