Netflix continues to be a open construction site. After the reverse in the gaming sectorwith the closure of some studios, the streaming service would now aim to become a real hub for the entertainment industrywelcoming within it the contents of competing services. Here are the first details regarding the future of the service, which in the meantime will continue to carry on price increases policy.
What Netflix wants to do
As anticipated by the New York Times, in fact, Netflix would be underway negotiations with Peacock and Fox One. In the event of a possible agreement, the Netflix app would be enriched with content, offering an increasingly complete service.
Information is limited but Netflix may adopt a mechanism similar to that of Amazon with Prime Videowhich allows access to content from other streaming services for an additional fee. Already in the past, the platform has started similar projects. In France, for example, the Netflix app includes content from broadcaster TF1.
Waiting for more details on thisnegotiations are ongoing and we will therefore have to wait some time to have clearer ideas regarding what the streaming platform’s moves will be. Netflix’s objective is clear: to strengthen the service and make it increasingly complete and rich in content to make it a necessary element for the entertainment sector.
