OPPO Find X9 Ultra was awarded the EISA award “Photo & Video Smartphone 2026-2027”recognition awarded by the Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA), an organization that brings together 54 publications specialized in the consumer electronics sector at an international level. It’s about the first EISA award received by OPPO which jointly evaluates, in a single title, the photographic and video performance of a smartphone. We, in our review, defined it as “the definitive cameraphone”.
The recognition comes as the culmination of a project that OPPO describes as a unified imaging systemin which the photography and video components share the same lenses, sensors and color management pipeline, rather than being developed separately. An approach that the company links to five years of collaboration with Hasselblad and a decade of work on computational photography.
Commenting on the awarding of the award was Elvis Zhou, CEO of OPPO Europe, according to whom recognition takes on a particular value because it comes from a pool of experts who analyze imaging with in-depth rigor. Zhou underlined how the choices made by the company in terms of optics, color fidelity and creative control, without compromise, have proven to be correct, allowing users to capture reality as they perceive it, both in photographic and video form.
On the technical front, Ljubisa Miodragovic, president of EISA, also spoke out, highlighting how Find X9 Ultra raises the level of mobile photography thanks to a system developed together with Hasselblad capable of covering a range of focal lengths between 14 mm and 230 mm. Miodragovic also placed emphasis on 230mm telephoto lenswhich opens up new creative possibilities for smartphone photography, and on the possibility of extend the focal length up to 300mm via an optional teleconverter. According to the president of EISA, this combination of focal versatility and image processing technologies makes the device a direct competitor of super-zoom cameras, indicating it as a reference for those looking for maximum optical excursion and creative freedom in a smartphone.
In the center of the device is the New-Generation Hasselblad Master Camera Systemdivided into five rear modules: four cameras dedicated to high-resolution imaging e an additional True Color Camera for color measurement. The fulcrum of the zoom compartment is represented by a telephoto 50 megapixel Ultra-Sensing Optical-Zoombased on a periscopic structure with five prisms (Quintuple Prism Reflection) which folds the light path as many times to obtain a 10x native optical zoom within the thickness of the smartphone. Through the high-resolution crop of the sensor, the system reaches up to a 20x optical quality zoom, which OPPO indicates as a category record.
The four imaging cameras, based on a pair of 200 megapixel Hasselblad sensors, allow you to Capture 50MP JPEG MAX and 50MP RAW MAX shots across six distinct focal lengths: 14, 23, 47, 70, 139 and 230mm.
The same optical and sensor system is also used for video shooting: Find X9 Ultra can record in 4K at 120 fps and 8K at 30 fpsan absolute first for a flagship in the OPPO range. Alongside this is the new one O-Log2 profilecertified according to the Academy Color Encoding System (ACES) standard, designed to provide films already compatible with professional color grading flows without intermediate conversion steps. Color management is entrusted to a multispectral TrueColor Camerawhich calculates white balance uniformly across photos, Live Photos and videos, with the aim of ensuring color consistency regardless of the capture format you choose.
