Osservaprezzi Fuels: the app that helps you avoid bleeding out to get petrol or diesel

Written by Jason Miller

From this afternoon it is available for free for devices iOS and Android the new App “Observe Fuel Prices” of Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (MIMIT), a tool designed to offer citizens simple, immediate information on fuel prices charged in the area. In a period of constant increases in pump prices, initiatives like this can make a small but substantial difference.

Through the App it is possible locate the nearest distributor or compare prices to choose the most convenient one. The consultation is made more effective by the display of the average regional price and the possibility of comparing it with the price charged, on the same day, by each plant.

“The new application represents a further step forward in strengthening market transparency tools, for the benefit of consumers and competition”, states the Ministry.

In the initial phase of use, the Ministry invites users to make any observations on the accuracy of the data and the functionality of the Appso as to collect useful information to progressively improve the effectiveness and quality of the service offered.
