In September last year, Sony he introduced Xperia 10 VIIa compact mid-range that has left minimal trace on the market. In these hours, the company has announced the arrival of Xperia 10 VIII which should be a new generation of the 10 series. In reality, it is the same smartphone (net of small adjustments) which, however, will be marketed with a higher price of 150 euros.
The specifications
Xperia 10 VIII can count on a 6.1 inch OLED displaywith Full HD+ resolution and maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. The operation of the device is managed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC supported by 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and from one 5,000 mAh battery.
Also worth mentioning is a dual rear camera (50 MP main and 13 MP ultra-wide angle) and an 8 MP front camera. The smartphone is Dual SIM, with eSIM support, and is IP65/IP68 certified.
The operating system is Android 16 with 4 major updates. These are the same specifications as the previous generation. Even the dimensions (153 x 72 x 8.3 mm) and the weight (168 grams) do not change.
Availability and price
As previously mentioned, what changes is the price. The smartphone will be marketed with a list price of 599 euros. This is a price increase of 150 euros compared to the previous generation.
The model will arrive in Europe but may not be marketed in Italy. We will know more in the coming weeks. Sales, in fact, will start around mid-September.
