Google is about to launch the new Pixel 11 series which will represent a major update to its smartphone lineup. As per tradition, the company will preside over the high end of the market with its new smartphones. For the mid-range we will have to wait until Pixel 11a. The model in question will arrive in the future and its launch has been cconfirmed, indirectly, by Google itself, as revealed by a report from Android Authority.
The Pixel 11a will happen
Google left a reference to the new Pixel 11a in the code public beta version of the Phone appin which there are already references to all the new Pixel 11s arriving in August. In addition to the four models in the series (whose code names are cubs, grizzly, kodiak and yogi), the app code contains another model, with code name formosan.
This code name had already been compared in the past to Pixel 11a. Consequently, the one provided by the Telephone app represents a new important confirmation regarding the arrival of the new product.
In any case, the launch is not imminent. Pixel lineup update timing will not change. The new Pixel 11, in fact, will be launched in the next few weeks while the Pixel 11a will debut during the first months of next yearprobably in March.
It is still early to go into the details of Google’s mid-range future which, for the moment, will continue to focus on its own Pixel 10a to preside over the mid-range of the market with a starting price which today is around 400 euros (based on the available offer).
