Realme has launched the GT 7 Pro, a high-end phone capable of taking photos in underwater mode. No accessories needed: just immerse the device in water and start shooting. The prices of the GT 7 Pro range from 799.99 euros to 1099.99 euros.
There was a moment in the history of smartphones which marked the discreetly user habits. The first smartphones were delicate creaturessensitive to dust, drops and especially water. Often their life as a device ended in a bowl with rice. A few were enough moments of immersion in a bucket, a swimming pool or worse sea water for destroy all hardware.
In 2010 the Motorola Defythe first smartphone that claimed to be water-proof. The certification was IP 67and in fact it could resist some splashes of water. The look of the Motorola Defy was still rough though. Over the years, certifications have improved, smartphones have become more resistant and today realme presented a smartphone which launches as optimized for take photos in underwater mode: the realme GT 7 Pro.
How the GT 7 Pro’s underwater mode works
The test works well. No accessories are needed, you don’t even need a cover. To immerse the realme GT 7 Pro in water, simply open the section dedicated to photographs and choose Underwater mode. At this point the smartphone can be submerged for a maximum of 30 minutes up to 2 meters deep. Technically the certification is IP 69. The touchscreen is optimized to respond to touch even in water: which is not a very simple thing from the point of view engineering. Once out of the water you need to dry the smartphone and activate a procedure to expel the water from the smartphone’s speakers: you will hear a very low sound with a frequency that is needed and move even the smallest drops of water.
Artificial intelligence to edit photos
Apart from the underwater mode, the whole part linked to artificial intelligence is also interesting. The GT 7 Pro is the first in Italy to have a Snapdragon 8 Elite processorone of the most powerful smartphone chips developed by Qualcomm. The goal is to support a long list of AI-related features. As an operating system, relame relies on Android. For this model it will use a baptized version of the operating system realme UI 6.0. Artificial intelligence can be seen well especially in photos: in addition to adding or removing elements from the composition, two options are interesting: AI Motion Deblur to remove blur from shots e AI Sketch to Image which transforms the hand-drawn drawings on the display into elements to be placed in photographs.
Parts and availability in Italy
Realme GT 7 Pro arrives in Italy in two colors: Galaxy Grey And Mars Orange. There are also two memory cuts: 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memorythe other with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of memoryto. The price of the first combo will be 999.99 eurosthe second instead 1,099.99 euros. For those who buy it now there is some discount. The 256 GB cut will be available on Amazon from November 26th to December 17th 799.99 euroswhile from November 26th to December 17th the 512GB version will be available in retailers for 999.99 eurosor.
